We needed new chairs and so bought some we liked – and could afford – in Furniture Village. The friendly salesman said he had sent the sale details by email. Fine. When I got home I found two emails had been sent. The second invited me to add a password to an account that had been created for me. To do this I had to click on a link. I tried but the link had expired after 30 minutes. Of course I had taken two hours to get home.
So what was the use of putting in a time-limited link with such a short time for expiry? This hadn’t been thought through.
